The Sun in the Net is the National Film Award, awarded by the Slovak Film and Television Academy since 2004. The awards are intended to award the highest quality films and creative performances of Slovak cinematography. The name of the national film award refers to the breakthrough Czechoslovak film from the 1960s directed by Štefan Uhr, The Sun in the Net.
